Job Title: Global Sourcing Manager

Job Duties: Responsible for the selection and management of suppliers, materials, and procurement in an industrial and commercial manufacturing setting; negotiating contracts with suppliers to maximize net profitability; develops strategic and tactical procurement initiatives and activities through a value-added approach that consistently meets the expectations of internal and external customers. management and procurement in the industrial and commercial manufacturing setting. Specific job duties include the following: manage existing relationships with strategic offshore as well as domestic suppliers at executive level to ensure the company’s objectives are achieved; lead supplier review meetings with business stakeholders to assess supplier performance, and contract compliance; monitor on-going business activity and engage with global suppliers as needed to address vendor related issues (e.g., delivery, quality, pricing issues, performance issues, etc.); report to management on a regular basis; use strategic and tactical sourcing and logistics planning, negotiations, metrics measurements (i.e. pricing, delivery, costs, quality audits, and Key Performance Indicators), and Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma processes; partner with business and budget owners to serve as a critical team member supporting strategic programs, negotiations, contract management, and other priorities; lead strategy design for raw material category that includes negotiations, project creation/facilitation and work closely with leaders to ensure requirements are fulfilled and alignment is maintained; work with existing and new suppliers to identify continuous improvement and value-added initiatives, and vet new materials and technologies to drive new product development; manage a major raw material sourcing category with final accountability for the global spend; efficiently conduct supplier negotiations via process driven methodologies (i.e., RFI, RFP, RFQ); identify, evaluate, and approve new suppliers as alternative sources and new materials for existing applications, coordinate supplier visits and audits; negotiate contract terms to meet company targets; manage cost, delivery, payment terms etc. within approval authority; prepare and implement RFP/FRQ’s initiatives; work with manufacturing to set material quality standards and regularly monitor vendor compliance; source product internationally and interview and select potential suppliers and manufacturers; create supply scorecards evaluating performance and share results with leadership team; analyze market and purchasing trends; implement continuous improvement projects to improve efficiency of material movement and cost effectiveness of inventory on site; identify supply chain risks and develop risk mitigation plans; develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize freight-in-costs; plan material needs using MRP application and alternative forecasting methods to direct purchasing team to efficiently manage inventory levels within target range; and work with Sales department to source spot buys for non-manufactured product sales opportunities.
Requirements: Master’s degree in Business administration and five years of experience in the job offered or five years of experience as a purchasing Manager and/or Sourcing Manager. Prior experience must include experience with management and procurement in the industrial and commercial manufacturing setting, and using strategic and tactical sourcing and logistics planning, negotiations, metrics measurements (i.e. pricing, delivery, costs, quality audits, and Key Performance Indicators), and Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma processes.
