The Machine Operator (2nd Shift) is responsible for following a series of processes outlined in order to correctly manufacture products, including assembly and machine operating with production workflow.
2nd Shift - 4:30pm-12:30am
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate equipment and machinery according to work order instructions
- Set up and makes minor adjustments or repairs to the machine, such as opening valves; changing, forming and cutting dies; setting guides; and clearing away damaged product containers
- Follow assembly instructions along with workflow processes and procedures
- Follow safety regulations and facility guidelines
- Complete all work and attain production targets and demands
- Accountable for each order/product
- Check order quality for correct quantities, color, size, shape and image
- Ability to maintain productivity or customers’ demands
- Ability to follow production schedule
- Daily PM of equipment, and report problems with order fulfillment, equipment/machinery, quality, process and materials to Production Managers and/or Maintenance Staff
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED equivalent. Previous experience in production, machine operating or assembly experience is preferred.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to complete time report and production reports. Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to count, number sequencing, add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
