Machine Operator - 1st & 2nd Shift

The Machine Operator (1st & 2nd Shift) position is responsible for operating assigned equipment and/or machinery to produce materials and products to proper specifications.

1st Shift - 8:00am-4:30pm
2nd Shift - 4:30pm-12:30am

Job Description

  • Responsible for the proper start-up and shut down of equipment and/or machinery used
  • Produce product to proper specifications based on work orders
  • Record amount of materials produced on a daily basis
  • Adjust tooling and set-up of equipment/machinery according to work order specifications
  • Report problems with order fulfillment, equipment/machinery, quality, process and materials to Production Managers and/or Maintenance Staff


  • Able to read and understand work order instructions
  • Proficient in basic math skills including counting, number sequencing, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Proficient in written and oral communication
  • Well organized with close attention to detail
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Able to work independently without much direction or supervision
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience with industrial machinery
  • Computer knowledge with an emphasis on experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally life and/or move up to 25 pounds
