QuickPrint Technician - 1st and 2nd Shift

The QuickPrint Technician is responsible for operating Riso print machines; following a series of processes outlined in order to correctly print on tyvek products; including assembly and general assistance with production work flow.

Job Description:

  • Set up, adjust, and operate printing/copy machines
  • Follow assembly instructions along with work flow processes and procedures in quickprint
  • Retrieve and file all quickprint pick tickets
  • Match all pick tickets with art proofs, obtain art proofs and plates when necessary through spark
  • Move matched orders to the print files and sort according to product size and product type
  • Complete all work and attain production targets and demands
  • Accountable for each order/product
  • Maintain stock orders of label; pick as necessary
  • Check order quality for correct quantities, color, size, shape and image
  • Ability to maintain productivity or customers’ demands
  • Move all finished products to the finished goods staging areas or take to shipping as need
  • Maintain an accurate count of orders left for the day on the departments white board
  • Main open line of communication on spark with Art and Sales department
  • Ability to follow production schedule
  • Report problems with quality, process and materials to Production Managers
  • Maintain clean and organized work area
  • Follow safety regulations and facility guidelines
  • Other duties and assigned Qualifications


  • Attend meeting as assigned 
  • Maintain cleanliness of your work area
  • Daily clock in/out for shift and/or applicable breaks
  • If all work is completed, please notify your manager
  • Maintain good standing with company attendance policy and physically attend all shifts when scheduled; this position is not eligible for remote capabilities
  • Report all accidents directly to Human Resources and follow all safety and hazard communication procedures
  • Perform all other duties as directed by management


Documentation, reporting, organization, mechanical aptitude, data-entry, telephone skills, listening and verbal/written communication, multi-tasking, dependability and emotional control. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and regular attendance.


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.  The employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, hands or feet; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouch or crawl.


Production environment, which will include constant noise throughout the day.  Certain areas of production will require PPE of either hearing and/or eye protection.  Environment will include odors and minor variances in temperatures.  Production environment requires closed toe shoes, be conscious of work being performed and stay in walking paths whenever possible outside of assigned areas.  All individuals must walk with their head up in all areas of the building, parking lot and grounds being conscious of moving vehicles, forklifts, and other potential hazards.

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent;  Previous experience working with printing/copy machines.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to complete time report and production reports.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. 
  • Ability to count, number sequencing, add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. 
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Excel, Word and Outlook. Ability to understand standard printing software for HP or Canon printers. Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems is desired.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
